Dr. Anjana Vyas
Anjana Vyas (Member, 2013) joined the CEPT University in 1979, holds the position of Professor since 2000 in Faculty of Planning and Public Policy. Her academic qualifications are: Masters in Economics, Masters in Planning (with honours) specialization in Urban and Regional Planning; Post Graduate Diploma in Human Settlements (Remote Sensing with Distinction) and Ph D in Economics.
She is Train the Trainer in Urban Development and Management Fellow from University if Birmingham, U K. She has established Masters level of course on Geomatics and performed the duties as Dean of Faculty of Geomatics and Space Applications from 2007 until January 2013. She hails more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in multidisciplinary field of Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Management and Governance, Remote Sensing and GIS. She is responsible for i) introduction of Remote Sensing and GIS subjects in CEPT University during 1987 and ii) Post Graduation course in Geomatics and Enterprise GIS in 2007. She was invited to Lake Toba Summit on NRG4SD at Indonesia, UN Experts Meeting in Malaysia; Chaired Session during EARSeL International Conference at Zadar, Croatia. She has delivered theme talks, chaired sessions and remained a member of jury in national and international conferences, universities in India and abroad.
She is a vice president of ISG-AC for 2011-14. She is a Chairperson of TC VI/2 of ISPRS-2012-16, International Society of Environmental Informatics, Life Member International Society for Research on Civilization, Diseases and Environment, Life Member, Indian Society for Technical Education, Executive Council Member, Institute of Town Planners, GRC, She is a member of the Education Standing Committee, ITPI, New Delhi; Board of Studies for the PG Programme of Planning at SPA, MNIT, Bhopal, Member of Subject Expert Committee on Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, DST, New Delhi. She is a Chair for organizing AGSE 2013 in September. She is a guide and reviewer for several Ph D scholars & M Tech students.
