Dr. D.V. Ahire
D.V. Ahire (Member, 2013) received the M.Sc. degree in Physics from Pune University in 1979 and the Ph.D. degree from IITM, Pune affiliated to Pune University in 1987.
Presently, he is working as Associate Professor in Physics at Jai Hind Educational Trust’s Z.B. Patil College, Dhule affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has 30 years of teaching experience at degree and PG level. He has presented and published more than 40 research papers in National and International Conferences and in peer reviewed Journals. At present he is associated with research project on “Dielectric model for Indian soils of Five Different States" with SAC, ISRO, Ahmedabad. His research interest includes Dielectric Properties of Materials at Microwave Frequencies in X- band and C-band regions and Atmospheric Physics. He is a life member of many professional societies.
He has guided 2 M.Phil. Students successfully and presently 7 Ph.D. students have registered under his guidance. He has authored/co-authored 9 text books at degree level. He is on the Editorial board of Journal of Chemical, Biological and Physical Sciences.
He has been a member Board of studies in Physics of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (1991-93), (1994-2000), (2010-15) and also Member, faculty of Science, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (1994 –2000). He has examined several M.Phil. and Ph.D. thesis.
He has received “Silver Jubilee Award”, of the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune for the Year 1989 for best paper of the year. He also received “Best Teacher Award” by North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in 2012.
