Dr. Maneesha Gupta

Maneesha Gupta (Member, 2013) obtained the B.Sc. degree in 2004 from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly and at the same time Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) from IGNOU in collaboration with Ed-Excel Foundation U.K. In 2005 she earned her Vocational degree of B.Ed from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University with a Gold Medal. She received her M.Sc. degree from Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh U.P. in 2007. In 2008 registered for PhD in Center Of Excellence In Materials Science (Nanomaterials) Department of Applied Physics Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

She joined Space Applications Center (ISRO), Ahmedabad in 2010 and initiated Quality Evaluation and Monitoring of Microwave data. She has been involved in both Active (RISAT-1 and Scatterometer) and Passive (Meghatropiques) microwave projects. She has also been involved in Calibration and Validation Activity for Resourcesat-2 project along with RISAT-1 SAR. Her research interest includes Polarimetric and Interferometric data calibration of SAR. Her keen interest is to perform research in developing and designing Nanomaterials for space applications specifically in Sensor technology, antenna technology, MEMS devices etc. for the future space missions.

She is an Excellent Experimental Physicist, in her research she has synthesized and characterized various doped perovskite materials in bulk as well as in nano domain and tuned them for Cancer Treatment as a Biomedical Application. She has been honoured with a two year Post Graduation Meritorious Scholarship from UGC, New Delhi, India.

She has authored/co-authored in 6 publications in peer reviewed International Journals, 5 International Conference paper, 2 poster presentations, 10 Technical Notes on this date. She is a reviewer of various scientific journals (international). She is a life member of Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS) and Indian Metrological Society Ahmedabad Chapter (IMSA).
