Ashish Upadhyay

Ashish Upadhyay received his B.Com degree in 1995 from Gujarat University and his M.Sc degree in Geomatics in 2012 from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. He also holds a certificate course on Remote Sensing Technology and its Applications from National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Hyderabad, July to September 2002. He is currently PhD. Research Scholar at Calorx Teachers' University, Ahmedabad and working as Academic Associate in Faculty of Technology, CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. He worked as a Research Associate at CEPT University, where he was associated with national and international research projects are Humanitarian Assistance services and mapping, Disaster Management, Public Health Mapping and survey, Watershed Mapping from AKRSP, Urban Mapping and Change Detection Study using Remote Sensing and GIS, Environmental Monitoring due to Industrialization from Ministry of Environment Forest, National Urban Information System of Jamnagar, Nadiad and Surat Town from TCPO and NRSC-ISRO, Land use and land cover dynamics and impact of human dimension in Narmada - Indian river basins from World Bank, NRSC – ISRO, Urban Disaster Management and Emergency Response for Ahmadabad city of West zone from RESPOND SAC-ISRO. That deal with geo-spatial and space technology. Previously he worked as GIS Manager in Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Gandhinagar. At IIPH, he was dealing with several public health projects related to maternal mortality (MATIND), health facility planning and management. He was also involved in teaching to Post Graduate students at IIPH. Currently he also involve in teaching and guiding M.Tech and B.Tech students at CEPT University. Prior to this He has attended several national and International conferences and published research papers in peer reviewed journal. Currently his research interests include GIS, Remote Sensing, GPS, Terrain modelling, data fusion, pattern recognition, Space Science applications to climate change, public health, development studies, Earth Science.
